About The Instructor
Matt was weaned on residential construction when he lived in Pensacola, Florida in the early 2000’s. Hurricane Ivan hit in 2004 which destroyed so many roofs and houses. Matt took the repairs in his own hands because of the lack of availability of roofers. Matt learned this trade from the other roofers and ended up installing many roofs during the year. After a move back to Maine, Matt got a job with a prominent roofing company where he continued to learn more. In his previous professional career, Matt was a pastor in a local church. Serving on a large team gave Matt the opportunity to work with a lot of different personalities and meet the needs of a lot of different people. His love for people and for helping them with many different challenges has become a passion of Matt’s life. As he begins his career with Focused Property Inspections, Matt’s passion is to help people make the best decision they can in purchasing a first, forever, or investment home. When Matt is not crawling around under houses or on roofs, he is enjoying this great state spending time with his wife.
